Wager Types and Payoffs

Straight

A straight bet is one of the most forms of sports betting where you pick which team will win the game. For baseball, you bet on which team will win the game outright. For basketball or football there will generally be a point spread as part of the bet. If the number is positive (+) then you add the points to your team's score. If the number is negative (-) then subtract those points from teams score. The side with the higher after the points are applied is the winner. For football and basketball the payoff is $100 for every $110 wagered unless otherwise noted. It is customary that when making a bet that you put up the juice as part of your wager. Therefore, $110 will be wagered if you specify a $100 straight bet. For baseball, the payoff is determined by the money line. If the money line is a negative number then you wager the amount of the money line for each $1 of your bet. For example, if the money line is -135 then you would wager $135 to win your $100 bet. If the money line is a positive number then you will wager $100 to win the money line. For example, if the money line is +125 then you would wager $100 to win $125.

Totals

When you bet on totals you are betting on whether the total points scored in the game will be higher or lower than the posted total. For football and basketball the payoff for a winner is $100 for every $110 wagered unless otherwise noted. It is customary that when making a bet that you put up the juice as part of your wager. Therefore, $110 will be wagered if you specify a $100 total bet. For baseball totals the total points seldom moves. Instead, line moves are done by applying a money line to the total. Therefore, your payoff will depend on the money line at the time of the wager.

Parlays

A parlay is a group of straight bets or totals combined into one bet. For the parlay to win all of the individual parts of the parlay need to win. You can mix different sports on the same parlay. Parlay payoffs depend on how many teams are in your wager. Payoffs for football and basketball are shown in the table below. If there is a tie in one or more of your individual parts then the wager steps down to the next lower number of teams. If a 2 team parlay has a tie and a winner then the parlay pays 90%. This is because it turns into a straight bet. This applies for Football and Basketball parlays. In Baseball the payoff depends on the line you have.

Teasers

A teaser is a group of straight bets or totals combined into one bet. The difference between a parlay and a teaser is that in the teaser you add 6 points in Football, or 4 points in Basketball to your picks. If the regular line is -6 and you have a 4 point teaser then your line would be -2. As with a parlay, all of the individual parts need to win for the teaser to be a winner. Teasers are not available for Baseball and Hockey. Teaser payoffs depend on how many teams are in your wager. Payoffs for football and basketball are shown in the table below. If there is a tie in one or more of your individual parts then the wager steps down to the next lower number of teams. If a 2 team teaser has a tie and a winner then the teaser pushes " No Action". If a 2 team teaser has a tie and a loser, the teaser loses.

* 2 pts Teaser for Half-time Basketball

Pleasers

A pleaser is a group of NFL side straight bets combined into one bet. The difference between a pleaser and a teaser is that the points instead of being in your favor, they are against. In exchange of this you get a Bigger Payoff. Pleasers are currently only available on NFL regular season side plays. Pleasers will not be taken on NFL totals, NFL preseason, or NCAA football at the current time. If the regular point spread is 8 and you play a pleaser then your line would be 14.

Odds:

Dallas is (-3) over Washington Pittsburgh is (-8) over Cleveland

A "Two Team Pleaser" on Dallas and Pittsburgh would be: Dallas (-9) Pittsburgh (-14)

A "Two Team Pleaser" on Washington and Cleveland would be: Washington (-3) Cleveland (+2)

Pleaser Payoffs

It depends on how many teams are in your wager. Payoffs are shown in the table below. If there is a tie in one or more of your individual parts then the wager steps down to the next lowest number of teams. If a 2 team pleaser has a tie and a winner then the pleaser pays even money. If a 2 team pleaser has two ties then the wager is a push.

Special Baseball Rules

For straight bets, baseball games are considered official after 5 innings of play (4-1/2 if the home team is winning). If a game is called or suspended after 5 innings the winner is determined by the score after the last full inning of play, unless the home team scores to tie or takes the lead in the bottom half of the inning. The winner is then determined by the score at the time the game is called. When betting on baseball totals, the game must go 9 innings (8-1/2 if the home team is winning). You can bet baseball in one of three ways.

Action - You play "Action" when you want to play team versus team regardless of who pitches. If one of the listed pitchers does not throw at least 1 official pitch there will be a new line and the money line on your play will automatically be adjusted.

List one pitcher You play "List one pitcher" when you want to play on or against a specific pitcher. If the pitcher you specify does not start the game then you have no action. You still have action at an adjusted money line if the other pitcher does not start. This option is currently not available on our Internet betting.

List both pitchers - You play "List both pitchers" when you want both listed pitchers to start the game. You have no action if either or both pitchers do not start the game. This option is currently not available during preseason baseball.

All baseball total wagers are automatically with both pitchers listed. All wagers made in the net are automatically posted as listed pitchers. Up

Horses Getting Started

To place a bet you must first select the track then the race in that track where your desired horse or horses are running. First, select the race track in the track selection list box and click on the GO button next to it. Next, select the race you wish to bet on by selecting the Race in the Race selection list box and clicking on the GO button next to it. Below you will see the track program for track and race that you have selected. If it is not the correct race - you probably forgot to click on the GO button. Up

Straight Wagers

Basically with straight wagers, you simply select which horse will be on the first, second or third positions. Win corresponds to First place, Place place is Second place, and Show is Third Place. To make a straight wager simply enter the amount of your wager and select your horse. I.e. Say you wanted to bet $10 "across the board" (Win,Place and Show) on the 7 horse. You would enter 10 in the Win, Place and Show Amounts and select the 7 horse in the corresponding horses selection list boxes. Up

Exotic Wagers To make an exotic bet, it is just like placing a straight wager except now you will be selecting multiple horses. The following is a list of exotic wagers we offer:

Quinella choose horses to come in 1st and 2nd place.
Exacta choose horses to come in 1st and 2nd place.
Perfecta choose horses to come in 1st and 2nd place.
Trifecta choose horses to come in 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.
Superfecta choose horses to come in 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th place.
Daily Double choose horses to come in 1st place for 2 races.
Pick 3 choose horses to come in 1st place for 3 races.

Boxing

With most exotic wagers you may also box the horses. This means they can come in any order. I.e. If you bet a $2 Trifecta Box on horses 1-3-7, you win if any combination of 1-3-7 comes out. For example, if 7-3-1 comes out you win! You box a wager by selecting the box checkbox next to the exotic bet. By boxing a wager you are essentially buying a ticket for all the different combinations for the horses you selected. So in the above example the total wager cost would be $12, because there are 6 combinations possible. Up

Coupled pairs

Sometimes horses are coupled. That is there will be a 1 and a 1A. Most times one of the horses will be scratched, but if they both run, you get them both. So, if you select a horse that is part of a coupled pair (horses 1 and 1A) both horses would be considered as one selection. I.e. If you played 1-3-7 as your trifecta and result was 1A-3-7 you win. Also if one horse gets scratched, you have the other horse regardless of who you selected. I.e. If you select 1A and 1A gets scratched - you still have the 1 horse. Up

Results

As race times may change over the day, management reserves the right to cancel any ticket made past the track's actual posted time. It will be deemed as "No Action" and your money will be returned. For this reason, our race programs have a 15 minute earlier post time than the actual race. The following are the possible results for a race (anything besides a Win or Loss results in "No Action"):

Result Description:

E Specific Bet Type Not Offered At Race
H W/P/S Horse Not Included In Race Program
L Loss
N Race No Action
O Ticket Submitted After Race Went Off
S Horse Scratched
W Win

Payouts

Payouts will be made based on the actual track payoff. The Morning Line (ML) listed in the race program is just informational and is not used to calculate the Payouts. You're account will reflect any Payouts once the race is graded. The following table shows the min/max bets and max $2 Payouts for the different types of wagers:
